The Byzantine House: Combining Old Data into a Plan
By going through the official reports, the drawn plans and the journals, we were able to filter out all the relevant information about the three structures that we wanted to study.
The next step was to combine all this information into a map, because we wanted to know more about the layout of the structures and the fixed features that were inside (such as large storage containers, called pithoi).
By this time we knew quite a bit about the different walls, floors and other features and we were able to make a map in which we could differentiate between structural elements from different periods.
